The Desert Springs “Golf 4 Women” Salver Grand Finals were played out during gorgeous weather on the difficult Indiana Course in Spain.

Double amputee marathon runner Richard Whitehead set a new world record time for a leg amputee at the 2009 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 50 minutes and 38 seconds.

My husband has diabetes and has had a wound on his foot for six weeks. Despite getting treatment, the wound has not healed. Doctors are warning that his foot may have to be amputated. This seems rather drastic. Is there anything else we can do?

Pushchair-maker Maclaren USA has announced a recall of 1m pushchairs in the US after a dozen children had their fingertips amputated in the hinge.
The amputations happened when children placed their finger in the hinge while the pushchair, or stroller, was being unfolded.
